Solange, Beyoncé and Jay-Z did release a joint statement afterwards that said, "There has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it."

"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred," the statement went on. "They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

Later, Beyoncé seemingly referenced the incident in her songs "Flawless" ("Of course sometimes shit go down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator"), "Cozy" ("Might I suggest you don't fuck with my sis"), and perhaps even "Daughter" ("I sashayed my dress / Did my best impression of a damsel in distress"). Meanwhile, Jay-Z rapped on his song "Kill Jay-Z": "You egged Solange on / Knowin' all along, all you had to say you was wrong."

Notably, despite obtaining joint custody, Nicole was seemingly cut off from her kids with Tom, Isabella and Connor, who were raised by Tom as Scientologists.

Meanwhile, Katie seemingly divorced Tom in part to get their daughter Suri away from Scientology, with Katie managing to get full custody and securing a divorce settlement in just 11 days. How exactly she managed to do this has caused a lot of speculation, with rumors that it involved a full-on stealth mission aided by Katie's attorney father, Martin Joseph Holmes, including Katie allegedly obtaining a new, secret phone to contact lawyers, hiring three legal teams in three different states, and renting out a secret apartment. There were also elaborate theories that Adam Sandler cast Katie in Jack and Jill to give her time and space to make the divorce happen.

Mindy and B.J. dated in the 2000s and have maintained a close friendship since — B.J. is even the godparent of Mindy's kids. In 2019, Mindy said that their relationship "isn't the thing that people sometimes think it is," adding that B.J. is "really part of my family now." In 2022, Mindy said the rumors that B.J. is her kids' father "don't bother" her and "[haven't] affected my kids or B.J. ... If that's what is going to be titillating to people, I'll take it." In 2025, Mindy described B.J. as an "important and integral" part of her family, sharing that her daughter calls him "Uncle Fofo."

People have theorized that it might be Jason Sudeikis, whom January dated the year before she had her son; her X-Men: First Class co-star, Michael Fassbender; or director Matthew Vaughn. Some people also speculate that Bobby Flay might be the father, or actor Xander Berkeley.

The pair reportedly didn't get on at times while filming the original show, but have since become close friends. Gillian has described their relationship as "complex" and said "we were basically married to each other," while also noting they sometimes didn't speak to each other for weeks. David, meanwhile, has said the pair are "soulmates in some senses," later describing times they didn't get on as a "failure of friendship" on his side.

Many people have been theorizing about the accuracy of Brooklyn's claims and wanting to see receipts — especially, of course, about the alleged inappropriate dance, which became meme fodder.

Jack dismissed the rumors as "dumb heteronormative gossip," while Lorde said, "Jack and I are not dating." Lena, meanwhile, said, "I don’t think anything happened between them. I can never know someone else’s life. I have never spoken to Ella about it. We haven’t talked since Jack and I broke up. It was awful, and I couldn’t do anything about it except trust that what he was saying to me was true."

Despite Karlie telling Vogue she and Taylor were still "really good friends" in 2018, Taylor didn't attend either of Karlie's two wedding ceremonies with Joshua Kushner, held in 2018 and 2019. Scooter Braun, however, did attend the 2019 event, and was photographed hanging out with Karlie not long after he had purchased Taylor's masters. In 2023, Karlie attended the Eras tour but notably wasn't seated in the VIP section like other celebs. There's been so much speculation about what went down between the pair, even Jennifer Lawrence said it was the one "top secret" she wanted to know.

Julianna dismissed talk of the feud as "gossip" and said the scene was filmed separately because Archie was shooting The Fall at the time — but Archie responded on Twitter (now X), stating The Fall was not in production at the time and she was "in New York ready to film the scene."

Archie later said, "In terms of anything that happened on The Good Wife, I think it's only respectful to let it stay on The Good Wife."

First of all, Shia LaBeouf was originally cast in the movie but was then apparently fired by Olivia Wilde (Shia denied this, saying he quit). Olivia replaced him with Harry Styles, and Olivia and Harry seemingly started dating while Don't Worry Darling was in production. Rumors spread Harry was paid three times more than Florence Pugh. When it came time to promo the movie, Olivia's ex, Jason Sudeikis, served her with custody papers while she was on stage at CinemaCon discussing Don't Worry Darling. Speculation about a feud between Olivia and Florence grew when Florence skipped press at the Venice Film Festival (although she did attend the red carpet), and then "spitgate" happened: Harry Styles allegedly spit on Chris Pine during the premiere (which Chris later denied). It was a TIME.

Speculation and theories persist to this day about the exact timeline and nature of the relationships between the three, with lots of analysis on their social media behaviour and what it all might mean.

Brittany's cause of death was listed as pneumonia, with iron-deficiency anemia and "multiple drug intoxication" from prescription and over-the-counter medications listed as contributing factors, and Simon's death was also listed as caused by pneumonia and anemia.

Brittany's father, Angelo Bertolotti, accused her mother Sharon Murphy of murdering both Brittany and Simon, which Sharon denied. Many people have also speculated that mold poisoning could have contributed to the couple's deaths, although the autopsy of Brittany reportedly didn't reveal any evidence of mold in her lungs or other organs.

Natalie's death was initially ruled an accidental drowning, but it was later reclassified as "suspicious" and her death certificate was amended to state the cause was "drowning and other undetermined factors," accounting for the unresolved questions surrounding the incident — including how she ended up in the water, and how she acquired certain bruises on her body.

Dennis Davern said he had witnessed an explosive argument between Robert Wagner and Natalie before her disappearance, which Robert later confirmed in his memoir Pieces of My Heart. In 2018, police named Robert as a "person of interest."

Christopher Walken has mostly kept silent about Natalie's death, although he did tell Playboy in 1997 that "she was alone," when it happened, speculating that she had been "half asleep" and slipped and hit her head while trying to move a dinghy that was bouncing against the side of the boat.

In 2023, Duane "Keffe D" Davis was arrested in connection with Tupac's murder, and his trial is currently scheduled for August 10 2026. He previously claimed Sean "Diddy" Combs had offered him $1 million to carry out the shooting. Speculation and theories persist about both deaths and were explored in the 50 Cent-produced Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning in 2025.

Many theories exist about who murdered Elizabeth, and the LAPD and FBI have reportedly investigated over 500 suspects over the years, with dozens of people having "confessed," but no arrests have ever been made.

In 2006, a man named John Mark Karr was arrested as a suspect, but the case was dropped after DNA tests failed to link him to the crime scene. There's been a lot of speculation over the years about whether JonBenét's family, including her parents and brother, were involved, leading to defamation lawsuits from the Ramsey family. In 2024, a Netflix docuseries renewed public interest in the case.

The fic was originally published on FanFiction.net under the username "XXXbloodyrists666XXX", and the author stated their name was Tara Gilesbie. People have long tried to figure out who the actual author is, with one writer, Rose Christo, claiming in 2017 that she co-wrote the fic, but when other claims she made were proven to be untrue, it cast a lot of doubt over her My Immortal assertion.
