I like the FriXion pens and markers, they are about the same price as any other pen and write very smoothly. The pens do smudge if the ink doesn't have time to dry so this could be a hard set up for lefties in particular, but at least they are easy to erase and rewrite. I've used and erased every page at least a few times by now and though they don't look like new anymore, they still have plenty of life. The book feels very thin and light but is pretty durable and I'm so happy to reduce some of the weight in my backpack.
