Jordan Klepper's Brutal Fox News Burn Comes Out Of Nowhere

The “Daily Show” host Jordan Klepper tweaked a Fox News segment about robots into a takedown of the conservative network. (Watch the video below.) Fox News anchor Bret Baier, who was in Beijing for President Donald Trump’s summit with Xi Jinping, reported on tech advances in a segment. So he asked a robot for food at a mini-mart. “Hello, can I get a sausage, please?” the anchor requested in the clip. Klepper mugged hard as he watched. “A sausage?” the comedian said in disbelief. “You went to China, home of one of the famed cuisines in the world, and ordered a convenience store sausage? Bret, you’re making us look weird in front of our future overlords.” But the host was far from done. “Although it could be worse,” Klepper continued. “Usually when someone at Fox News asks someone to grab their sausage, it comes with a $10 million lawsuit.” Up flashed a magazine cover of late Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who was sued for sexual misconduct by former host Gretchen Carlson and accused by about 20 other women. He resigned in 2016 and died in 2017. In another prominent case involving alleged predatory behavior at Fox News, the channel parted ways in 2017 with host Bill O’Reilly. A report had revealed that the host and the network quietly paid female colleagues millions of dollars in settlements for their sexual harassment complaints against him.
