Seth Meyers Zeroes In On Trump’s Strategic Flaw In Iran War

Seth Meyers would like President Donald Trump to shut up when he’s telegraphing U.S. military plans in the war against Iran. (Watch the video below.) On Tuesday, the “Late Night” host focused on Trump’s comments to CNN after the president noted that the military is “knocking the crap out of them.” Trump added, “We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon.” The talk show comedian fumed over Trump appearing to reveal details of future attacks. “Hey, man, the commander in chief is supposed to be able to keep military secrets,” Meyers admonished. “He’s so excited to bomb people, he can’t help himself.” The host then went into his Trump impression to imagine more giveaways. “I wouldn’t want to be in eastern Tehran at 3 a.m. tomorrow, I can tell you that much,” Meyers said as Trump. “Maybe he’s not in the Epstein files,” the host concluded. “It honestly feels like he would have told us by now.” Watch Seth from the top for his military advice: The U.S.-Israel bombardment of Iran has killed Iranian leader Ali Khamenei and hundreds of civilians, while American service members died in an Iranian drone strike. The war has roiled the markets, left U.S. travelers stranded and offered the grim prospect of an unpopular escalating conflict.
