I’m glad everyone agrees that [spoiler] is the best part of the “Avengers: Doomsday” trailer, too.

As a Senior Talent Booker and Producer at BuzzFeed, you can typically catch me flailing about the buzziest TV shows and movies.

Set 13 years after the events of the beloved Nickelodeon series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, namely, Fire Lord Ozai being defeated, Avatar Aang discovers a surviving airbender named Tagah. With this new discovery, he also learns of a powerful staff that could restore his culture he thought was lost. Now, Aang (Eric Nam), Katara (Jessica Matten), Sokka (Román Zaragoza), Toph (Dionne Quan), and Zuko (Steven Yeun) embark on a global quest to find this lost relic before a group called “The Denied” can claim it and upend the peace Aang and everyone have fought so hard to achieve. As a big fan of the original animated series, I am happy to report that this movie was a lot of fun to watch. While it feels rushed in spots and is missing some of the spark that will always be hard to capture from the original series, it’s still great to catch up with Aang and his friends in this new stage of their lives.

Based on the book of the same name by Marissa Stapley, Lucky follows a con artist known as Lucky (Anya Taylor-Joy), who is known for causing trouble and making bad decision after bad decision. When a multimillion-dollar heist goes sideways, she is forced to go on the run. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life and find a way out of this mess. This marks Taylor-Joy’s first show since her critically acclaimed work in The Queen’s Gambit, and she’s once again entrancing on screen. For this show, she teams up with an all-star cast including Drew Starkey, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and more. While I think this show might’ve worked better as a movie, I do think if you love Taylor-Joy, it’s worth a watch, but maybe save it to binge-watch, which is how I watched the screeners.

Written by and starring Matthew Johnson and Jay McCarrol, Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie is a time-travel mockumentary adventure film. It follows Matt and Jay, unemployed bandmates and best friends who want to play at The Rivoli in Toronto. They devise a new scheme involving a DeLorean-inspired RV, but when it goes horribly wrong, they are transported back to 2008 and must find a way to return home. The movie received critical acclaim at SXSW and TIFF last year, as well. I didn’t know anything about the web series that this is based on, but I still had a wildly great time. It’s so much fun, and genuinely, I think one of the best underrated gems of 2026. So, now that it’s streaming, you’ve got no choice but to check this one out ASAP. You won’t be disappointed.
