Amanda Seyfried has been fuelling speculation about a potential sequel for years. Last year, while attending the Seven Veils premiere, the actor hinted at a possible return, telling fans: “I think we’re making another one. I didn’t confirm it! I said, ‘I think’.”

She later doubled down on the rumours, telling former co-star Adam Brody: “We’re making another one” – although she made it clear she wouldn’t return unless Fox was involved.

Then, in October 2025, director Karyn Kusama confirmed that Jennifer’s Body writer Diablo Cody (Juno) was working on a script for a follow-up.

Then: Do we really need an introduction? Megan Fox played Jennifer Check, the popular high schooler who becomes possessed in Jennifer’s Body. At the time, she was already a well-established name, having appeared in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and landed a breakout role as Mikaela Banes in Transformers.

Now: Fox has stayed in the spotlight, starring in everything from the Transformers franchise to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and seasons five and six of New Girl, and recent roles in Expend4bles and Subservience. Fox also ventured into writing, releasing her first poetry collection, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous: Poems: A Collection of F**ked Up Fairy Tales, in 2023.

Away from acting, Fox’s personal life has also made headlines. She and musician Machine Gun Kelly ended their relationship in late 2024 after several years together, and the pair welcomed their daughter, Saga Blade, in March 2025.

Then: Seyfried played 'Needy', Jennifer’s best friend. The role came shortly after her iconic role as Karen Smith in Mean Girls, where she became known for delivering some of the film’s most memorable (and hilarious) lines.

Now: Seyfried has gone from teen movie favourite to one of Hollywood’s most respected actors. She became a household name thanks to Mamma Mia! before earning critical acclaim for roles in Les Misérables, Mank, and The Dropout, winning an Emmy for her portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes. More recently, she starred alongside Sydney Sweeney in The Housemaid, and played Ann Lee, the 18th-century founder of the Shakers religious movement, in The Testament of Ann Lee.

Away from the screen, Seyfried has kept her personal life relatively private. She married actor Thomas Sadoski in 2017, and the couple share two children.

Then: Brody played Nikolai Wolf, the lead singer of the band Low Shoulder. Before that, he played Seth Cohen in The O.C.

Now: Brody has continued to build a career across film and TV, appearing in projects including Ready or Not, Shazam!, and Promising Young Woman. More recently, he sparked a new wave of attention with his role as Rabbi Noah Roklov in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This alongside Kristen Bell.

Brody's married to actress and singer Leighton Meester, and the pair have two children.

Then: Simmons played Chip Dove, Needy’s boyfriend in Jennifer’s Body.

Now: Simmons has continued working across film and television, appearing in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and The Late Bloomer.

He later reprised his role in Netflix’s animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. And more recently, he starred as Sam Evans in the 2025 action-comedy film Bad Man.

Then: Amy Sedaris played Toni Lesnicki, Needy’s mum in Jennifer’s Body. Before joining the cast, Sedaris was already a familiar face, having appeared in films including School of Rock, Maid in Manhattan, and Bewitched.

Now: Sedaris has remained a favourite in the comedy world, appearing in shows including BoJack Horseman, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett. She also created and starred in the comedy series At Home with Amy Sedaris, which earned multiple Emmy nominations. More recently, she appeared in Netflix’s romantic comedy Office Romance alongside Jennifer Lopez.

Then: J.K. Simmons played Mr Wroblewski, a science teacher at the school. Simmons had already been acting for almost two decades before Jennifer's Body, appearing in the likes of The First Wives Club, Spider-Man, and Juno.

Now: With over 200 film and television roles under his belt, Simmons has won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Whiplash, and has continued to appear in the Spider-Man franchise

He’s also become a major voice acting favourite, lending his voice to animated hits including Megamind, Zootopia, and Kung Fu Panda 3. More recently, he starred as Eamon Sweeney in Prime Video’s 2026 drama series The Westies.

Then: Pratt played Roman Duda, a police officer in Jennifer's Body. He also played Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation.

Now: Pratt went from sitcom favourite to one of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster stars, landing the role of Peter Quill (Star-Lord) in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and leading the Jurassic World films as Owen Grady. He has also become a major voice acting name, playing Mario in both Super Mario films and Garfield in The Garfield Movie. More recently, he starred alongside Millie Bobby Brown in Netflix’s 2025 sci-fi action film The Electric State.
