(NewsNation) — Gary Siders Jr., the Ohio father of 16 charged with child endangerment after his children were found living in a "house of horrors," was charged in four separate public indecency incidents over a nine-day span just a month before his arrest.

Siders, 36, was charged with four counts of public indecency before authorities raided his home in Hamden, a village about 75 miles south of Columbus. Court records obtained by People show the alleged incidents occurred May 23, 27, 29 and 31.

While details of the allegations were not available, court records indicate all four counts stem from an alleged violation of an Ohio law that prohibits "recklessly exposing the person's private parts."

In Ohio, public indecency is a fourth-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a fine of up to $250 on each count.

Siders, his wife, Elizabeth Siders, and his parents, Gary Siders Sr. and Christina Siders, were arrested June 30 after authorities said 16 children were found living in squalid conditions. All four adults waived their preliminary hearings and have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

NewsNation affiliates WOWK and WCMH have obtained birth records for four of the 16 rescued children, including the oldest, which list Elizabeth Siders as their mother and Gary Jr. as their father. WOWK and WCMH can not definitively comment on the parentage of the remaining children, and Archer said he does not "know that we have all of their birth certificates."

Marriage licenses show Elizabeth Siders and Gary Jr. Siders married on March 31, 2008, in Mason County, West Virginia, at the ages of 15 and 18, respectively. At the time, they were living in nearby Gallipolis, Ohio, on the same street; both had completed a ninth-grade or lower level of education.
