You might not know this if you’ve been on a 20-year journey trying to get back home, but Christopher Nolan’s version of “The Odyssey” opened on Friday.

Though the film looks like a blockbuster, it has also been beset by controversy over things like casting, its supposed “wokeness,” and whether a film based on a work of fiction is historically accurate.

As a result, some people on X decided it would be funny to troll others by posting about the film, but getting crucial details completely wrong.

Here are some of the funniest and most intentionally incorrect posts about the film so far.

Just saw The Odyssey, I loved it but was  really surprised it featured so many Minions. Not saying it’s bad or inaccurate. I’m aware of its oral history, so there’s no way to know Homer didn’t include Minions. But it was like 98% Minions. Didn’t even mention Odysseus.

Just left the odyssey. It was pretty good….. but kind of felt like a rip off of O Brother, Where Art Thou??????

Just walked out of The Odyssey. Fantastic film. Thought the part where Matt Damon looked at the camera and said “You will die for Cultural Marxism” was a bit jarring but I still signed the pledge.

Whoa can’t believe THE ODYSSEY begins with Matt Damon looking directly into the camera and apologizing for being white.
