"I live beside the woods, so I know damn well what animal screeches sound like, but I have NEVER heard something like that. It sounded like a human screaming, but it also sounded like a mix of a coyote and a fox. The screeches did not stop. It kept on screeching over and over again, and each time it sounded like it was trying to get closer to a human scream. 

My friend and I just fucking bolted. His house was still a 20-minute walk away, and we made it back in less than half the time. I do not believe in skinwalkers or anything like that, but I'm definitely a lot more open to the idea of their existence after that.
