After wearing these sneakers for a couple of months, I can confidently say they're the perfect walking shoe! I walk several miles per week, so I was really able to put these shoes to the test. They have a sturdy, grippy outsole that provides excellent traction, and the wider base helps you feel steady on your feet. I also wore 'em on a recent trip to Colorado and explored all around Garden of the Gods for hours without experiencing any foot pain. Bonus points for the comfy slip-on design, which makes them awesome for the airport and busy travel days.

My colleague Jenae Sitzes says: "I have a pair of Rothy's flats, and they're super comfy and feel so lightweight and stretchy! I have them in the neutral Ecru color, but they come in a ton of gorgeous colors and I'm always tempted to snag them in more styles."

Former BuzzFeed editor Marquaysa Battle is *all* about these sneakers: "I own a black pair of these and they're seriously one of the comfiest friggin' sneakers I've ever worn (the other is a pair of New Balance) in my 29 years of life. The 'Cloudfoam' insole really does make it feel like your feet are walking on clouds. I thought that feeling might go away after several months of wear but the sneakers remain fluffy and relaxing. My coworker Gabriela Manjarrez can vouch for these: "I spent three weeks traveling through eight different European cities, and let me tell you — bringing these sandals with me was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made. My most worn pair of shoes during my trip, hands down. The reasons I was on the hunt for comfy sandals were 1. I didn't want my feet enclosed all day while trekking the whole city in warm weather, and 2. Some outfits simply pair better with sandals. I hiked up to the Acropolis of Athens in these babies, and that stone floor was slippery. And still, out of my group of 11 family members and friends, I was the first one to make it to the top (and yes, I did brag). Macarena Collection is a small biz based in Buena Park, California! Since they only make whole sizes, they suggest sizing down if you're in between sizes, as the shoes will stretch and mold to your feet as you wear them.

My colleague Jenae Sitzes says: "Reviewers swear these don't even have a break-in period, making them a great pickup for that last-minute outdoorsy trip where hiking and rough terrain are on the docket. Note that it's recommended to go up a half size in these boots to accommodate thicker hiking socks, and I found that to be true when I picked up these shoes myself — I'm normally an 8 but found an 8.5 in these to be totally comfortable. 

I also found that they held up well even on my first hike — though I did admittedly still have some soreness around my heel area, this was after a hard, 7+ mile hike with lots of rocks and climbing, so I don't blame the shoes. They felt comfortable right out of the box and super supportive when I was navigating rocks and rough terrain. And though I only stepped in water a couple of times briefly, my socks stayed dry too. I got the brown color with red laces as pictured above, and they're even cuter in person, which is just another plus."

Promising review: "These are great shoes for novice hikers. I usually find mid-rise boots uncomfortable as they rub my Achilles tendon. These were great. Very supportive on some difficult hikes. Comfortable on sandy, dirt, and rock terrains. Colors are beautiful. I wore these around the house a few times before our trip, so no real break-in needed. I sized up half a size to accommodate for thick socks. If I order again I’ll get my regular size as my foot did slide some inside the shoe on descents.
