Protecting your skin from the sun should be easy breezy!

I'm a Shopping editor (and mom to two toddlers) who covers a variety of topics, including helpful parenting/kids products, exciting gadgets, cozy products (think: home goods and fashions that'll make you want to snuggle), and any magical Disney item that crosses my path.

Perhaps you're like me and hate the task of putting on sunscreen — the lingering greasy feeling of it on your hands, arms, legs, and face (ugh, the worst). As much as applying SPF brings me disdain, I also know just how important it is, and I'd never shirk off the responsibility! Which brings me to these genius products. From solar stickers that let you know when it's time to reapply and Supergoop Glowscreen that's infused with glitter (!!!) to Coppertone Kids SPF with Moana and Maui on the packaging to a refillable applicator that'll get kids excited about applying sunscreen (yes, really), you (and I) might not dread this necessary task after all!

Note that the AAD recommends using at least SPF 30 and reapplying as needed for skin protection. You can read about sunscreen myths and facts from dermatologists for more information!

Promising review: "Just used this product on a recent trip to Florida. I made sure to wash my skin before application, and it lasted about two days on my skin without coming off. When out of the sun or behind UV glass, like in a car, the spot turns clear. As soon as you step into the sun, it turns purple. If you use sunblock, it starts to become clear or semi-clear. After being on the beach and having gone into the water a few times, the spot started turning purple, and I applied sunblock again. In a minute, the spot was clear again. So this is very effective in alerting me when to reapply." —RGTorque

Promising review: "Wish I would have found this sooner! Works great and so far the cheapest option I have found for powder sunscreen. Love that my face isn’t greasy anymore from normal sunscreen!" —Michelle

"I have fine hair so anytime I’m in the sun I get burnt on my scalp. Regular sunscreen make my hair super oily and gross and I cannot stand wearing hats. I'm so glad I found this. You do have to apply it more often, and also it doesn’t work if it gets wet. Love this stuff, it's such a lifesaver." —james

I love this product! I've been using it for years, and it remains one of my favorites! A little goes a long way. It leaves the perfect amount of shimmer on my skin, and I love that it adds a bit of extra SPF to my beauty routine.

Promising review: "The best powder sunscreen to keep in your purse and have to reapply on the go!! Works well over makeup. I use it when I take walks at work, and it does not mess my makeup up, and it does not make me feel greasy since it is powder!" —Krystal Turnwald

Promising review: "NO WHITE CAST! I've been looking for a stick sunscreen and this was just exactly what was needed!! I'm a medium-toned Black woman, and looking for something without a white cast is always a challenge. I have applied it on my bare skin and there isn't a white cast at all! It's a 'soft matte' finish, for sure, and looks like natural skin. Like you're not wearing anything at all." —Martina

I have this sunscreen and have been using it as a daily moisturizer. It genuinely doesn't even feel like sunscreen! It blends into my skin immediately — it's not greasy in the slightest. My makeup applies over it with ease, and I love that it features my favorite Demon Hunting girlies for some extra fun. The size of the tube makes it easy to take on the go if I need more application later in the day and would rather not use a stick sunscreen.

Promising review: "I am in love with this sunscreen, it's definitely worth the price if this is the right sunscreen for you. I have extremely oily and sensitive skin that reddens with every sunscreen out there, including the ones made for oily skin by brands like La Roche-Posay. I use this one over serums that can sometimes leave my face a bit shiny and it mattifies without drying. I would recommend reapplying if you are going to be under the sun for a while, but reapplying for me just means I get mattified again, which is something that is extremely hard for me to get. If you've ever used the Porefessional by Benefit, that's the kind of what the texture of this sunscreen feels like. I can't recommend it enough, would buy in bulk if I could." —Petunia Conejos

I adore this sunscreen! I'm very fair-skinned and prone to getting sunburnt, so I have to stay very on top of applying SPF at all times. This one isn't greasy at all, blends in immediately, and LITERALLY adds shimmery sparkles wherever it's applied. I truly don't even mind putting it on — it's a welcome addition to my skincare routine.

Promising review: "I absolutely love this sunscreen. I’m always wary of 'for everyone' tinted products because they aren’t usually made with us in mind. But this one hits the mark. It looks amazing on my brown skin. Non-streaky, no white cast. It gives my skin a subtle shimmer. The video and pics are in direct sunlight so you can see it in full effect. For reference, I have combination, thirty-something-year-old skin. Glowscreen is officially in my skincare rotation." —Lovely91

My Block Skin is a Black-owned, queer-founded brand! This set comes with a 150 mL tube of Clear Coat Body and a 50 mL tube of Clear Coat Face. Both go on as a clear gel, are SPF 50, have UVA and UVB protection, and are water and sweat-resistant for up to 40 minutes.

I tried this at the beach for the first time recently, and it was fantastic. I'm very pale and burn easily, so I'm always hesitant to test a new sunscreen. This one smelled incredible (a bonus), went on easily, didn't feel greasy, and even after sitting in direct sun for an hour, I didn't get burnt. I reapplied it after the 60-minute mark (I started to feel toasty) and hung around for about another 45 minutes — no redness!

Promising review: "Lightweight and gives great protection." —Kathleen Jarboe

I literally just used this duo on my 4-year-old and 2-year-old before sending them off to camp this morning. They were happy to use their "Moana makeup" and put up zero fight — which any parent knows is a HUGE win. I can rest easy knowing both the spray and stick are water-resistant for up to 80 minutes (they have water play first thing in the morning), so they'll be protected from the morning sun.

Promising review: "Absolutely love this sunscreen! It offers great coverage without feeling heavy or sticky. It absorbs quickly, doesn't leave a white cast, and holds up beautifully during long days in the sun. This has become a staple in our family. Hands down the best sunscreen! Lightweight, effective, and comfortable enough to wear all day. It protected our skin even during hours of outdoor sports and activities. I'll definitely be purchasing again! ☀️🧴💛" —shannon

My kids loved being "painted" and I loved knowing applying sunscreen wasn't going to be a fight.

Promising review: "I hesitated, but I originally saw this item on TikTok and knew it would make life SO MUCH easier when it comes to putting sunscreen on myself and my kids, and I have to say, I am NOT disappointed!! The sunscreen goes on so smoothly and evenly, and I feel like I will be saving so much sunscreen now that I'm not just squirting a huge glob in my hands and spending so much time trying to rub in a ridiculous amount into mine and my children's skin. My only regret with buying these is that I wish I would have bought a couple more so that I could have different ones for each of the sunscreens we use! But I will be recommending these to everyone!" —Carmen

Promising review: "We recently moved to a beach area, and we are constantly there. This item has changed our entire lives! It lasts a decent amount of time (depending on how much you use it), it smells super good (not at all like baby powder), and it's super effective. It has saved me from vacuuming my car at least 1x–2x a week. I even use it on my dogs' paws and bellies to make sure they're taken care of. Promising review: "I bought this before I went on a cruise. We stayed in a hotel for a few days prior, and I got a little toasty in the sun. Used this and it helped dull down the burn feeling and helped heal my skin within days. By the cruise, I was fine with no pains from the burn. Continued to use it daily while on vacation. Works like a charm. Love it! Smells great too! It's not a loud smell or anything. Would totally recommend and buy again!" —Victoria Ramsey
