With some of the biggest names in music involved, the performance is set to attract viewers beyond football fans (that’s if they can watch it)...

That's right, the same tournament that usually takes over chats for goals and questionable refereeing decisions is now adding one of the biggest names in music to the mix.

After weeks of speculation about whether Bieber would be part of the historic performance, the singer confirmed the news on social media, sending fans into a frenzy.

While both BBC and ITV are set to broadcast the World Cup final in the UK, neither broadcaster is reportedly planning to include the halftime performance as part of their live coverage. Instead, sticking to their "formula of a panel of pundits analysing the first half, with viewers able to watch the half-time show digitally via phones or tablets," as per The Times.

So, while millions of viewers around the world will be watching Bieber, Shakira, BTS, and the rest of the lineup take the stage, UK fans could be left missing out on the big screen.

BuzzFeed has contacted BBC and ITV for comment.

Bieber will join the likes of Madonna, Shakira, and BTS.

Burna Boy will also appear during the 11-minute performance, alongside acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel, the PS22 Chorus featuring Coldplay, and some very unexpected special guests: characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

The show is also being used to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to raise $100 million to help expand access to education and football opportunities for children around the world.
