Behind those cheerful oinks is a serial drama starter. 

From Kanye West and Adele to her latest clashes with Charli xcx and Clairo, Peppa Pig has somehow found herself at the centre of celebrity beef after celebrity beef. 

And while most stars would call it “drama”, in Peppa’s world it’s more fitting to call it what it is: a chaotic pork feud... 

On Tuesday (7 July), Peppa Pig gave what might be the most unexpected Pitchfork interview of all time. Yes, you read that correctly.

During the 'interview', Peppa was asked whether Cairo was overrated or underrated – before delivering a brutal response: "I don't know her," seemingly referencing Mariah Carey’s viral reaction when she was asked about Jennifer Lopez in the early 2000s.

It didn’t take long for Peppa’s latest feud to draw backup, as Clairo shared a screenshot of her texts with Charli xcx, who defended her friend against the pig’s shade with the message: “let’s f*ck her up”.

PinkPantheress also waded in, quipping: "ain’t shit sweet until you put respect on clairo 💯". 

In what might be one of the most unexpected celebrity feuds of all time (and let's face it, he's had his fair share), Peppa Pig once took aim at Kanye West after her own album managed to score higher than his.

When West released DONDA in 2021, Pitchfork rated the album a 6/10 – while Peppa’s Peppa’s Adventures edged ahead with an extra 0.5 points.

The pig later shared a now-deleted tweet taking a swipe at West, writing: "Peppa didn't need to host listening parties in Mercedes-Benz Stadium to get that .5."

Adele once hosted a livestream where she opened up the floor to fans' burning questions – one of which was whether she'd ever collab with Peppa Pig. 

"No," she hit back before swiftly moving on. 

Later, Peppa told Adele on Capital FM she was "really sad" with her response, adding: "Why not? Don’t you like me?”

In response, Adele joked: “First of all, babes, Peppa, that ain’t the one of you that I know. That’s not the same voice as the one I grew up with, with my son."

“But Peppa, I’ve already said today that I regret it. I spent three years watching you, and any time you want to go jumping in muddy puddles and sing in muddy puddles, I’m with you babes."

In 2019, Iggy Azalea found herself facing the ultimate competition: Peppa Pig. After it was announced that both would be releasing albums on the same day, the rapper jokingly admitted defeat, writing: "It's over for me now."

Naturally, Peppa was not about to let the moment pass without adding a little extra chaos. The pig responded with a GIF referencing her hit ‘Fancy’:

"Collab with me now or you'll end up a breakfast special peppa," Azalea hit back.

Not everyone survived the Peppa Pig effect unscathed. In 2020, Cardi B blamed the cartoon pig for her daughter’s sudden obsession with jumping in puddles.

“My baby has been watching peppa pig and now Everytime she sees a wetpuddle she wants to stomp on top of it,” she wrote. 

“That s*** gets me so tight! F***in up her uggs… Deum you peppa pig… COUNT YOUR F***ING DAYS!”
