Including a hair tie holder and pill organizer that’ll make you the MVP of your travel group.

I'm a Shopping Editor who uses my passion for hitting "add to cart" (and my 8+ years in media) to curate the best products on the web — I'm particularly passionate about finding the best beauty products, which probably stems from my days of working at Lush Cosmetics, where I learned about effective skincare ingredients while getting covered in bath bomb dust every day.

Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, will make you feel less prepared than that first night of vacation when you realize you forgot *so many things* while packing at the last minute. Even the most type A person has been there a time or two. But if you want to feel ultra-prepared for your next trip, I found space-saving compression packing cubes, genius luggage attachments, and wrinkle-releasing must-haves you'll want to add to your cart before you take off or hit the road.

Promising review: "Bought this to replace a passport holder that 'lost' my passport several times. This one holds it in securely and is a beautiful color, which stands out in my backpack when I need to find it. Well worth replacing an inferior one that did not do what it was designed to do." —Collie Lover

Promising review: "I have left the house on numerous occasions and needed a hair tie and could never find one. I could dig through my purse, diaper bags, and car, and there was never a hair tie lying around. I have had to refill this hair-tie holder on about five occasions because of how many times I've taken hair ties off for myself and the friends who need one. Great invention." —Samantha

I really like that it comes with a clip and wrist strap. The airflow is surprisingly strong for such a small fan, and it charges quickly with the included USB cable. The battery lasts a good amount of time, and it’s also very quiet." —Jaime

Promising review: "Guys. If you’re going on a trip and need a cute hat but don’t want to worry about it getting smashed…look no further. I bought this hat last summer. It’s been as far as The Maldives and all over Europe, and I wear it on the reg in southern California. It’s totally kept its shape, and I’m not shy of shoving it in bags. 10/10 recommend! I’m sitting on a bus in Croatia right now thinking how awesome this hat has been and decided to write a review, as I rely on reviews for my purchases on Amazon. Hope this helps someone!" —Lyra S.

P.S. This only works if you have full access to the window (rather than those seats where you get the weird halves of two windows between the rows in front and back of you.

Promising review: "A friend recommended this to me as a vital travel companion now that I've returned to frequent flying. I initially thought of it as a novelty, but now that I've used it, it's a necessity. It keeps the workspace clear for my laptop, but it also organizes all the little pieces that can become so annoying to keep up with — glasses, earphones, etc. It got my seatmate's immediate attention, as well as a few other folks nearby. I suspect they'll have one soon. Watch for one soon in a window near you!" —Timothy G. Wolfe

The brand recommends using low heat, delicate heat, or no heat.

Promising review: "I really love these Clorox Refreshables because they make my clothes smell clean and fresh in just 15 minutes without having to rewash them. They’re super easy to use — just toss one in the dryer, and you’re done. The Spring Fresh scent is light, not overpowering, and leaves my clothes feeling refreshed. This is perfect for busy days or when something smells a little off but doesn’t need a full wash. I will definitely keep these as a must-have in my laundry routine." —Carla D.

Each pack comes with three packets. And, because they *are* liquid, they'll easily slide into the side of your toiletries bag.

Promising reviews: "Game changer for travel! We were gone for two weeks, and I was able to wash all the clothes I had packed! Helped with using only a carry-on for the trip and kept my clothes fresh and clean! So easy to use and smelled nice! Will never travel without them again!" —Kristy

Promising review: "Hate dragging out the old hotel iron and board, so I just spray my wrinkled clothes with this, and viola! Takes the wrinkles out, and off I go — no wrestling while putting the iron and board away. I even have a small travel iron or use my hair styling irons if I want a better finish, but this usually does the job nicely." —Audie

Promising review: "This stuff really is awesome. It really works, and I don't know where it has been all my life. I started looking for something for thigh chafing after running into a few issues (not fun). It is super easy to use; just slide it on like you'd use deodorant." —SweetPea

Listen, I always thought packing cubes were a waste of time, until I discovered the magic of *compression* packing cubes — and now I don't know how I ever traveled without them. As long as I didn't wildly overstuff these, the compression zipper was easy to close (though it does take a bit of elbow grease), and helped squeeze my clothes together so there was zero wasted space. I was able to fit many more shirts than usual, and having everything neatly organized in its own cube made getting dressed on my week-long vacation a breeze. The only downside? You do have to meticulously re-pack everything in the cubes the same way you did for your return trip, but that's a small price to pay for extra space and organization.

Promising review: "I bought these because I ride a bicycle and also work in an office, and if I have to run an errand at lunchtime, I'll get so sweaty...ewww.

The wipes are just big enough that one wipe can clean up your upper body, even stinky armpits, and leave you feeling fresh and surprisingly clean. The scent is also quite pleasant — not overwhelmingly lavender. It's nice that they're wrapped individually — I can just stick one in a pocket and run to the bathroom at the office, without carrying a whole bunch of stuff." –JSRose

Promising reviews: "I FINALLY found the perfect sunscreen for me. It’s a bit pricey, but totally worth it. I’m brown skinned and this is the only sunscreen that leaves no white cast. It’s not greasy, it doesn’t budge so it’s not stinging my eyes. it gives a nice dewy finish that is perfect to put makeup over. I’ve even re-applied this over makeup and it works perfectly. And I love the stick application. It’s a lot easier to apply than liquid sunscreen and it has no scent." —Amazon Customer

"Saved my skin from the Aruba sun. This stick went above and beyond my expectations. This contraption provides 360-degree support thanks to a wraparound design. However, be aware that some airlines do not allow pillows that attach to headrests.

Promising review: "Just took a 15-hour flight with this travel pillow, and this was the best travel pillow by far. I've used inflatable and memory foam neck pillows before; the major problem is that they don't secure your head and torso, so either your muscles have to hold up your body, or your head and torso will end up swinging around, and both are disruptive to sleep. With this travel pillow, my muscles can relax, and the padded eye mask will hold up my head and torso. One minor downside is that the pillow needs to be mounted on your seat's headrest; if someone bumps your seat, it can be disruptive, but this rarely happens. Its size and weight are also much less than memory foam neck pillows, and I don't have to bring an extra eye mask, so it is very travel-friendly." —Sky

You can also switch between pound and kilogram measurements.

Promising review: "This scale works and was accurate on four flights. The first flight was a test at 46 pounds, and Delta scales said it was 46 pounds. The next two flights were at 49 pounds, and both United and Delta found it to be 49 pounds. The bag on the 4th flight weighed 49 but the United scale found it to be 48 pounds. Four different airports and scales proved that this scale is a good, low-cost must-have item for air travel." —Robert

I'm obsessed with my Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush (and so is my dentist!), but it's just way too bulky to stuff in my already over-stuffed carry-on when I'm traveling. I decided to try this out on a recent trip and was super impressed with how well it works. I love that it has a two-minute timer built in (with reminders to switch quadrants every 30 seconds), and it gives a nice, gentle vibration. For under $20, this is a great alternative to lugging around a bulky rechargeable toothbrush and way better than most flimsy travel toothbrushes.

Promising review: "I purchased this to keep in my purse zipper compartment for 'emergencies' aka getting something stuck in between my teeth, such as pepper, lettuce, herbs, whatever. I can go to the powder room and remove whatever it is. I feel better having these in tow. We love Plackers for use here at home; they make flossing easy. With age, it just seems things tend to get stuck more, and these are a great idea to have just in case. I can refill the case if I do end up needing to use them. The case is easy to open and close and feels like it will stay closed well in my purse. These are a great idea!" —Small~Town~Girl

You will love the convenience, trust me!!" —BobC

Here's what my colleague Elizabeth Lilly thinks of them: "This is a product that I put in travel stories over and over and over again, and would always think, "Hmm, I should buy some." Once I booked my first-ever cruise (with Virgin Voyages, which was fantastic, btw), I knew that I needed to invest in these hangers to make the most of what I presumed would be a tiny closet for my cabin. These were super easy to slip into my super-packed suitcase and plenty sturdy for holding up a variety of stuff. In my pic above, you'll see one collapsed and then one in use, with dips perfect for spaghetti or thin straps. So many hotel and rental places' hangers don't have those little dips, and my slip dresses (I own four of this one!) are always slipping off of them. With these, I was able to put a variety of garments on them without anything slipping off — in fact, they work better at that than my regular velvet hangers I have at home!"

Promising review: "I am a digital nomad, so I travel full-time around the world. I have a lot of devices to charge (laptop, Kindle, phone, backup battery, portable Wi-Fi device, camera, the list goes on). A lot of times, hostel bunks or hotel rooms only have one outlet, and with the previous adapter I was using, I had to charge one device at a time. I used to literally set my alarm to wake up in the middle of the night and switch devices so that I could get more than one device fully charged overnight. I did my research finally and settled on this one because it is universal and has four USB ports. What a GAME CHANGER. On my latest trip, I was able to charge all my devices at once, and it made traveling so much smoother. It seems well made and good quality, too. Definitely recommend to my digital nomad and traveling peers. Happy travels! :)" —Maggie A.

Promising review: "Love love love these!!! I have a lot of medications that I have to travel with and some of them are very expensive or very important and I get so worried I will lose some. These hold so many pills and have labels for each and they are so easy to open and fill but they also stay closed and seal well!" —Britney

Promising review: "This garment bag is an exceptional value for the money. Well built, top quality materials, including 'beefy' zippers, should hold up well for airline travel. Minimal wrinkles, if any, in garments, and a cavernous bag for storing shoes and other items for a trip. Added bonus: it fits easily in the plane overhead storage and is similar in size to a standard roller bag. I highly recommend this product." —Kindle Customer

I have been RAVING about this tiny little wonder to anyone who will listen. I love toting a folding, reusable bag around just in case I need one, but I am terrible at folding it back up into those tiny pouches it comes with. All of my other reusable bags end up as shapeless puffs that are way too bulky to fit in my pocket or a small crossbody bag. When I saw this ~nano~ -sized bag pop up on Amazon, I knew I was the exact target audience — and I'm here to tell you this is a game-changer. It's made of super-thin nylon that effortlessly folds up into a super tiny pouch (seriously, you don't even have to fold it — just stuff it in the pouch and compress it!), yet is somehow still sturdy enough to carry a whole week's worth of groceries. These are definitely on the pricey side, but they're so worth the splurge. I never thought I could be so passionate about a foldable tote bag. I'm now tempted to buy a few more to keep in all my crossbodies and luggage.  👀
