‘You Said It All The F**king Time’: Seth Meyers Spots Something Trump Wants People To Forget

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers rolled the tape during Thursday night’s show after President Donald Trump claimed in a “Meet the Press” interview that he didn’t “guarantee no war” while on the campaign trail. “Yeah, saying you’re the candidate of peace doesn’t mean you’re against war,” Meyers said. “It’s like if you’re Kendrick Lamar’s record producer, that doesn’t mean you’re against Drake.” Instead of sticking to his usual shtick of throwing Trump’s words back in his face (he gets to that later), Meyers kept his rebuttal to the president’s claim short and sweet. “I hope you’re sitting down for this because here’s the truth,” Meyers said. “Donald Trump lied. And he didn’t just say it once or twice; he repeated that lie over and over again.” Then, Meyers broadcast a montage of clips in which Trump said there’ll be “no new wars” if he’s elected. “You said it all the fucking time! ‘No more wars’ was basically your bazinga,” Meyers said, likening it to a catchphrase. Meyers also highlighted a segment from Fox News’ “The Five,” where even the conservative hosts seemed to be exasperated with Trump’s claims that the U.S. was close to a deal to end the war in Iran. “The back and forth with Iran has been so exhausting that even Fox News is starting to get tired of all the BS,” Meyers said.
