(NewsNation) — Savannah Guthrie did not hire private investigators to search for her missing mother. Nancy Guthrie, according to NewsNation senior national correspondent Brian Entin.

A report last month stated Savannah Guthrie paid around $500,000 to private investigators to find the missing 84-year-old.

“I’ve now confirmed that is not true. Savannah Guthrie did not hire private investigators, she did not spend $500,000 on private investigators,” Entin said on “Jesse Weber Live.”

“It seems she still has confidence in the FBI and the local detectives who are investigating,” he added.

Savannah Guthrie once again called for her mother’s return in an Instagram Story, asking whoever abducted her to “bring her home.”

“Oh my, my soul it cries out, soul, it cries out,” the “Today” show co-host wrote in a post.

Her message comes as the search for Nancy Guthrie enters its fourth month.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1, 2026. Authorities believe she was abducted from her Arizona home in the early morning hours.

Photos of an armed, masked suspect were recovered from a camera at the home, but so far no suspects have been publicly identified, and Guthrie remains missing.

Authorities in Arizona acknowledge there have been no significant developments or breakthroughs in recent weeks.

Physical evidence, including DNA, is still being examined in the case. FBI Director Kash Patel told NewsNation last week that 150 agents are working on the investigation.

The Guthrie family continues to ask the public to share any information that could lead to Guthrie’s return.

Anyone with information on the case should call 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.
