White House’s Dramatic Trump Photo Prompts Same Mocking Question Online
Images
The White House’s dramatic new photograph of Donald Trump prompted many social media users to make the same joke about the president actually being asleep, mocking his recent tendency to appear to nod off during public events. The black-and-white image, shared on X, showed Trump from behind in what appeared to be a high-backed leather chair at the Cabinet table. Attached to the back of the chair were two small metal plaques engraved with the dates of Trump’s two presidential inaugurations. The White House captioned the image: “45/47,” a reference to Trump serving as both the 45th and 47th president of the United States, alongside an American flag emoji. 45/47 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/zpfrJKG0tM One X user added a speech bubble reading “ZZZZZZ” to the image. “You’re taking the pics from the back so we can’t see he’s asleep,” joked another. “It’s OK to show Trump sleeping,” wrote a third, sharing another image appearing to show the president with his eyes closed. Bet eyes are closed 🤷♂️ Is he awake? More times he will fall asleep on live TV. https://t.co/E6PpBlGHNs Did you post this picture from the back because 47 was sleeping again? Is he asleep in this picture Was he asleep? Now they’ve gotta shoot him from behind so nobody sees him dozing off. BS Cabinet meetings. Like a seinfeld episode a meeting about nothing.
