“When she gets up in the morning, the first thing she does is give me a hug and an ‘I love you’. That is the highlight of my day.”

"When I travel, she hides cards and Post-it notes in my luggage or laptop bag so I’ll stumble across them along the way. "The two toothbrushes will stand beside each other, one on the charger and the other without. We brush our teeth at different times of the day, and after brushing, we put our partner’s toothbrush on the charger and stand the one we used next to it. So we always charge the other’s. The cute thing is that we’ve never once talked about it and have been doing this dance for years."

"It sort of makes our bodies look like a V, and there was one time where we had a huge fight that lasted for hours and when we finally, without actually solving anything we were yelling at each other about and even throwing around the D word, went to bed exhausted at like 3 AM, she reached over with her foot and touched mine. In that moment I knew it would be OK."

"At one point she had collected and sold so many she bought me a surprise round at a very expensive course. She’s still the cutest caddy I’ve ever had, has no idea what’s going on but claps when I get excited. She also talks to me in a really funny voice as if she’s talking for the dog, and we have full conversations (me and the dog). It’s god damn adorable. Or when I get home from work and she’s not there, I know I have to go and find her in a hiding spot. She’s really good. Or when she falls asleep on me and refuses to go to bed because she’s ‘not asleep, just comfortable’."
