(NewsNation) — Voters in Kentucky will decide Tuesday who will face off in Senate and several House races as well as a ballot measure aimed at prohibiting the governor’s pardon powers. Mitch McConnell not seeking reelection, 20 candidates have stepped forward to run for the soon-to-be-open seat. Twelve Republicans have thrown their hat in the nomination in the general election, including Rep. Andy Barr, attorney Daniel Cameron, supply chain manager Anissa Catlett, James Duncan, aviation expert Mike Faris, doctor Val Fredrick, Jonathan Holliday and returning nominee from 2022, Jimmy Leon. Businessman Nate Morris, Andrew Shelley, George Washington and Donald Wenzel top off the Republican race. Follow live results: Seven Democrats are battling for the general election: Army veteran Joshua Blanton Sr., former Director of Administrative Services for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Charles Booker, lawyer Logan Forsythe, ex-Marine Amy McGrath, thoroughbred trainer Dale Romans, attorney Pamela Stevenson and Vincent Thompson. Christopher Campbell rounds out the group of candidates as an Independent.
