I am a contributor and former BuzzFeed Shopping writer based in the DC/Maryland area who loves glitter, Marvel, Beyoncé, pink, wine, traveling, all things beauty and fashion, and shopping, of course! Promising reviews: "I was super shocked at how nicely these were able to blend with my hair. I have 4c hair with a silk press. I’ve had them in for three days — I wanted an easy go-to look, and I wanted some highlights. I bought TWO SETS for volume. I love them. They don’t tangle up in the neck, and they stay soft! Love this hair." —Jermaine & Cardell Williams "I have ordered from this company thrice and am obsessed. I currently use a mix of platinum and blended blonde, and it matches my hair perfectly. The price is unbeatable. I have had my current sets for over a year (and wear them 3–4 days a week). Highly recommend!" —Cass Smith Get them from Amazon for $29.99+ (available in 14 lengths/densities and a ton of colors). These are the clip-ins that I've been wearing recently, and I'm loving them. My hair is red (the Instagram flash filter made my hair look brown above), and I bought the dark brown color before seeing that they had cherry red clip-ins, so I had to dye them, and they took the color perfectly. They're great quality, truly, they barely tangle! I usually like to use two packs of clip-ins because my hair is thicker, but one pack has worked out just fine. They're honestly pretty dang thick. I'm totally obsessed with them. They're still silky smooth and show no signs of matting or drying out. All my other clip-ins have recently turned into a matted, tangled mess within a month. It was pissing me off because clip-ins are way too expensive to have to replace monthly. I've been wearing these for a month straight, every single day, *with* hot tools, and they've outlasted all the other clip-ins I was using. I'm hoping they last at least a year, and so far, they seem like they will. They're luxurious, full, add volume, and blend seamlessly with my 3a/3b hair (after straightening, of course). Heat tools and hair dye haven't ruined them one bit — they're still just as soft and beautiful as when I first got them, and I get waaaay less shedding with these than the other brands I was using before. So far SOOOO good. They are a bit pricier, but I'd rather pay for quality that'll actually last than throw $$$ down the drain every month. Get them from Laced Hair for $279.95+ (available in 16" and 20" and more colors here). Get them from Bellami for $205+ (available in 16"–26" and 44 colors). The ONLY thing I miss about my natural hair color (my hair is currently burgundy) is these extensions 😭. I wish they made them in burgundy SOOO bad, omg. Did they last? Of course not! They're synthetic. But they were cute to wear for about two weeks, and they're $20. When I clicked on these to put them in this article, it said that I've bought them five times in the past. FIVE. TIMES. They were extremely easy to clip into my head and go. I used one pack of the black/blonde mix, and one pack of the plain black ones, but they're honestly so thick, I didn't really need the full second set. I only used about two pieces, simply to blend my natural hair color with the highlights better. The layers were so so perfect, the slightly curled ends is a look I try to recreate daily with my human hair extensions. And buying the black and blonde mix allowed me to add a pop of color to my hair without bleaching it. Oh, how I miss these. I never thought I'd love synthetic extensions so much, but these still have me in a chokehold, and I can't even wear 'em. I still refuse to throw them away. 1000% recommend. Get them from Amazon for $17.99+ (available in 16 colors). Promising reviews: "Best purchase ever! I decided to give my hair a break from wigs and silk presses this month. These clip-ins blend AMAZINGLY with my hair. I’d recommend the kinky straight because they still blend when the silk press starts to get old. I’ll forever rave on these clip-ins, I’ve received so many compliments." —Jada Player "I was a bit hesitant to purchase, but I took a leap of faith after watching a TikTok review and I must say, the quality is super amazing!! You won't regret the purchase. Super silky, the wefts are flat, and they're not hard to install. DO NOT HESITATE!!" —khaliyah bahadur Get them from Luvme Hair for $74.70+ (available in 14"–24", five other textures, and in two-packs). Promising review: "I love this hair! It’s so beautiful, bouncy and soft." —Seannette D. Get them from True + Pure Texture for $219+ (available in 16" and 20"). Promising review: "I love these so much. Since I impulsively cut my hair I’ve been struggling to feel confident in myself. I decided to try out hair extensions for the first time and was looking for something on the cheap side and after watching many YouTube and TikTok videos, I decided that this brand was by far the best option I’d seen. I simply do not regret this buy. They blend in seamlessly with my hair, they're a beautiful color, and I'm so excited to style them considering it’s 100% real hair. Another plus is how easy they are to use. My first time putting in extensions and although I could probably do better, they still look so cute!! If you’re looking for some more affordable CUTE AND GOOD QUALITY extensions I definitely recommend these! :)" —Emily Get them from Amazon for $47.99+ (available in various lengths/densities and colors). Promising review: "Low-maintenance hairstyle. Hair is very soft and pretty!" —S*****s They come with a free satin bonnet and detangling brush! Get them from Curls Queen for $159.90+ (available in 6"–20" hair lengths, loc sizes 0.2 cm wide–0.8 cm wide, including a customizable option, and a partial head bundle, a full head bundle, or a value bundle). Promising review: "These lasted me over a year, I wore them almost everyday! They come with a lot of shine when brand-new, but I always wash them and that typically removes the shine. I wouldn’t recommend purple shampooing them as it dries the hair out, but other toners work fine. Super soft, no smell, holds curls, crimps, and waves all day, easy to apply, and minimal shedding! Great for the price. I’d rather purchase these than pay $2,000 at the salon!" —Graysee Get them from Amazon for $51.83+ (available in various lengths/densities and colors). Promising review: "I’m so happy with this bang piece! It’s perfect for when I want to change up my look without committing to a haircut. Super easy to put on and take off, and it looks very natural once it’s in place. I use it for quick and comfortable hairstyles. Great quality, and very practical. I 100% recommend it!" —Alabnia Muñoz Get it from Amazon for $14.99+ (available in two styles and 13 colors). Promising review: "These extensions are my go-to to instantly elevate my looks! They're incredibly easy to pop in, and I love that they don't require any styling and hold their shape. I can now be ready in 5–10 minutes for events, and feel so confident with the added length. Love INH and everything they make!!" —Marissa Get them from Ulta for $48.30 (originally $69; available in 11 colors). Get them from Dhair Boutique for $250+ (available in 20"–24"). Promising review: "I have always been skeptical about buying synthetic hair extensions, but these are quite literally perfect. I have used human hair extensions before, and these feel and look just the same, but WAYY CHEAPER! I was amazed at how thick, but lightweight these are. I wear them pretty much every day now. They don’t slide down or give me a headache. I am easily able to style them. I love these so much." —Britney Get them from Amazon for $25.95+ (available in two thicknesses and 23 colors). Promising review: "Wow! I rarely write reviews but this hair warranted it! I got the 20-inch extra volume clip-ins, and they're sooo thick and soft! I have very thick hair, so I have a hard time blending most of the time. I seriously threw in a few quick curls in less than five minutes and it all blended so well. At the end of the night, it wasn’t all ratted up like my usual extensions, they only tangled about as much as real hair would. I’m pleasantly surprised, especially for the price. 5/5 for me!" —Stephanie S Get them from Irresistible Me for $89.50+ (available in 14"–28", two densities, and in more colors here) or Amazon for $126.91+ (available in 14"–24" and 34 colors/textures). You know it’s good when girls that look like you think it’s all yours! I’m only getting my clip-ins from here going forward. Promising review: "This is quite possibly my favorite hair accessory ever. I've had it a couple of months now and washed it a few times, and it's still held up beautifully. It's so easy and instantly has me feeling like a mystical genie, instead of sporting my 4-inch sprout of a ponytail. LOL. The claw clip is a perfect size, so I can swing my head around and it won't budge. It's amazing for when I'm nearing the end of the week before wash day, and any time I get a compliment on it, I have to blurt out 'IT'S NOT REAL, IT'S JUST A CLIP, ISN'T THAT COOL?'" —Tess Mohundro Get it from Amazon for $15.20+ (available in 47 colors).
