Fox News Panel Gangs Up On Channel’s Resident Liberal In A Bullying Fest

Being a liberal on Fox News can be a lonely job. Jessica Tarlov found out the hard way on “The Five” Wednesday, getting bullied by some of her colleagues in an argument over President Donald Trump. “I’m OK with you hating Trump,” Greg Gutfeld said to light the fireworks. “Why aren’t you OK with me liking him? If you could just look in the mirror and answer that question, liberals, you would feel so much better. Why does it bother you that people like Trump? “Do you have an answer to that, Jessica?” Jesse Watters chimed in, later asking her if she had a theory. “Because he’s like a completely morally bankrupt person that’s imposing ―” she replied. Tarlov was interrupted by Gutfeld, who asked, “But why should you care that I like him?” She replied, “Well, care leads to voting. And then voting leads to bad policy that makes life harder.” Pressed further by Gutfeld, she said, “If he were your friend, I’d be much more chill about it. But because you like him, he’s my president.” Presumably, Tarlov meant that liking Trump translated into votes for him. In Gutfeld’s case, he also had more power to influence others to vote for Trump. Watters then turned up the temperature by declaring to Tarlov, “You don’t care about morality.” She snapped back, “Of course, we do.” Watters insisted, “Your party doesn’t support standards of morality.” Tarlov’s stunned reaction only egged him on. “You can do drugs. You can be homeless. You can hit people, rape people, let other murderers into the country,” Watters said. Tarlov tried to object, but was continually interrupted. She noted that Republicans “got evangelicals to support a guy who’s cheated on every single wife he’s had.” At one point, she exploded when Gutfeld asked her again why she objects to people who like Trump. “I said I don’t care. I have accepted it!” she yelled while shaking. “Five” panelist Paul Mauro also joined the fray, but Dana Perino sat it out. There was some levity when Tarlov and Gutfeld finger-pointed at each other in reference to Scott Jennings’ viral “get your fucking hand out of my face” threat to a guest panelist on CNN’s “NewsNight.” Tarlov’s role as the conservative channel’s resident leftie has invited the scorn of Trump himself recently. As he does with many female media members, he made the attack personal. He called her “one of the Least Attractive and Talented People on all of Television,” “so boring,” and claimed she made up unflattering poll numbers.
