Including some Pilates-friendly grippy socks and a cloud-like blanket that’s both human- and dog-approved. I'm a Shopping Editor who uses my passion for hitting "add to cart" (and my 8+ years in media) to curate the best products on the web — I'm particularly passionate about finding the best beauty products, which probably stems from my days of working at Lush Cosmetics, where I learned about effective skincare ingredients while getting covered in bath bomb dust every day. Every month, we round up recommendations from writers and editors across BuzzFeed for products they've tried and love, to help you discover vetted things you might also love. Yes, these are our personal reviews! In our May 2026 edition, we're loving all kinds of smart finds, including summer-ready fashion finds, Beyoncé-approved hair gel, and a Twilight perfume that smells "magical." "I'm a stickler for sun protection, so when I went to Aruba in 2023, these cool stickers came with me, and I've used them ever since. It's simple: you put one onto clean, dry skin (no lotion, sweat, etc.), apply your sunscreen to yourself and the dot, then watch it turn clear when you expose it to sunlight. When your sunscreen's UV protection wears off, it turns purple again. Time to reapply! Reviewers do say they work best with cream/lotion sunscreens, which is what I use, and less so with sprays. But it can be harder to apply enough spray sunscreen — the American Academy of Dermatology recommends four passes back and forth, close to your body, and then rubbing in — which I suspect might be the culprit. So make sure you're applying enough sunscreen, and that it's SPF 30 or higher. She's never steered me wrong yet, so why start now? I recently tried her holding gel, which is designed for all hair types, and I'm genuinely a big fan. Yes, it obviously smells good (it's very warm and bright), but the thing I like most is how little product it actually takes to work. I mean, the instructions literally say to start with 'a pea-sized amount,' and they're not lying. I'd been buying American Crew's Fiber for nearly a decade, and I do still love it, but recently I'd been needing to use more and more product because my hair is so thick. With Cécred's holding gel, I feel like I get a lot more use from an even smaller amount. Also, if you're curious, it can be applied to both dry or damp hair, but I personally like the results more when it's damp. I also feel like the hold lasts a bit longer that way too. It's a winner in my book. Beyoncé deserves an honorary Grammy for this product alone, tbh." —Spencer Althouse "I was so excited to be able to throw this bra into a post! I've had this for several months now. After buying my first one, I ended up getting...too many more. I had a double mastectomy last year, and finding bras that provide enough support without having underwire is a challenge. Ones that are also comfortable are an even bigger ask, and this does it all! I've recommended this to friends of mine who have natural breasts, and they've loved it just as much as I have. It's a real winner for us all!" —Mal Mower Get it from Amazon for $18.98+ (available in sizes XS–3XL and 21 colors). "I don't know if it's the shape of my eye or my clumsiness, but I ALWAYS get mascara on my lid, and it annoys me so very deeply. I just cannot ignore it and go about my day. I've tried just using my trusty Neutrogena makeup wipes to clean it up, but it's so difficult to get close to the lash line that I end up taking off more of my makeup than I wanted to. Which is even more annoying to touch up as a perpetually late person. I gave these swabs a try, and now I always want them on deck! I'm able to remove my mascara and eyeliner mishaps more precisely (they come in handy for cleaning up a cat eye look, too!). Plus, it doesn't make my lid feel greasy or oily, unlike a previous makeup stick I've tried. It's so quick and easy that it's become one of my go-to makeup hacks. And you may be wondering, 'Can I just use a regular cotton swap dipped in liquid makeup remover?' The answer is yes. But if you're lazy and/or always rushing like me, then having these ready-to-go at all times is worth the $9!" —Kayla Boyd "This sarong is so beautiful and the perfect cover-up for my swimwear! I’ve been looking for something that provides more coverage than typical hip wraps or kimonos, and this is exactly what I needed. I love how versatile it is! There are so many ways to style it depending on my mood. I wrapped it as a dress and got so many compliments, and people even thought it was an actual dress until I told them it was a swim cover-up!" —Brittney Trinh Get it from Carve Designs for $64 (available in one size and 10 colors). "Even as someone who didn't grow up playing with Legos, I had SO much fun putting this set together! I really enjoyed how unique the build was and kept going "oooh!" at the creative ways different pieces stuck together. I built it with my partner while watching Catching Fire for the millionth time, but it would also be nice to build while listening to music or just letting your thoughts wander for a bit. The instructions are really straightforward, so I found it to be relaxing, and I love how it brightens up my bookshelf! I'm already eyeing this pretty mini orchid for my next one. 👀" —Divinia Tarin "These socks are so cute and perfect for Pilates! The grips on the bottom provide great stability during workouts, keeping me in place without slipping. I love that the grips are shaped like little hearts, and the taiyaki icons add an extra adorable and unique touch that you don’t often see on Pilates socks. I also appreciate that they rise above the ankles, so they stay in place and don’t slide off easily. They’re great for walking on slippery floors as well, providing extra traction and helping prevent slips." —Brittney Trinh Get it from Charmed Soles for $25 (available in one size meant to fit women's sizes 6—11.5). "Two of my favorite things are pop culture and beauty products, so of course, I was influenced to try out Scentbird’s new Twilight perfume. In my brain, I assumed it would have a masculine, woodsy kind of oud scent, because in my mind, that’s what Forks, Washington smells like to me. And lemme just say, I am VERY particular with my products — especially scents. I don’t love many gourmands, woody, or super creamy scents. I tend to lean more towards fruity or those kinds of “your skin but better” scents. BUT, as an official Team Edward girly, I knew it was my duty to try this one out. I was initially intrigued by the scent notes: Plum Butter, Addictive Macadamia, Moon Flower, and Creamy Woods. Once I saw that there was a fruitiness to it, I was in. And okay, truthfully, I was pleasantly surprised. In a way, it made me feel so mysterious and rich. Like, if I were an old-money NYC socialite who has an affinity for vintage fur coats...that’s what I feel like wearing this perfume. The scent sits close to the skin, so it’s not super overpowering, just one of those 'you smell really good but I can’t tell what it is' kind of products. It’s giving sultry, sophisticated, dare I say — magical?" —Lauren Garafano Get it from Scentbird for $25+ (available in three sizes; also available in two sample vial sizes). "As someone who used to work at Lush, I can 100% confirm that this scent smells *exactly* like walking into a Lush store! Actually, more specifically, it smells exactly the way my clothes would smell after the end of a shift when I was covered in bath bomb dust. It's a perfect blend of zesty lemon and lime, as well as jasmine and sandalwood, which all come together to smell like walking through the bath bomb section and getting whiffs of all the essential oils. It makes me super nostalgic and weirdly works perfectly as both a perfume and a candle." —Daniel Boan Get the perfume for $65 and the candle for $22 from Lush. "If you had told me that I would love a $180 pair of clogs this much, I would have told you to go to sleep a la Bethenny Frankel during the Scary Island episode of early Real Housewives of New York. But, alas, here we are, with me having owned this pair of clogs since November 2025 and still loving them just as much today as the first day I slid my foot into them. Let's start with what makes Commbi different from your average clog — which, as I am sure you have noticed, are apparently back in a big way! Commbi's shoes, according to their ethos, are 'engineered in collaboration with industry-leading biomechanics specialists.' Their footbeds are built to 'ensure optimal body alignment and wellbeing throughout your day.' On the surface, it kind of sounds like a bunch of BS. Or so I thought. But in reality, after wearing these clogs on a 5-day cross-country road trip from California to Indiana, I started to believe the hype. These shoes are very well-made, with sturdy materials that do not feel cheap (which is not something you want in shoes that are more than $150!), extremely comfortable, and stylish to boot. In this era of my life, I am really trying to lean into well-made clothing and accessories that are built to last but will also not give me a backache by noon. I'm so effing done with high heels, and I am all about comfort. I was beyond pleasantly surprised with these, and I genuinely believe I will own them for the next 10 years, long enough to see the next wave of clogs come back into style. The downside? The sizing is not accurate. I would say they run pretty small, so be aware of that. I also think the price point IS a bit wild, I mean, they're clogs!? But the more I lean into well-made clothing and accessories, the more I realize that cheap upfront doesn't mean it's well-made." —Lara Parker Get it from Commbi for $180 (available in women's sizes 5–12 and men's sizes 7–13). "Listen, like many of you, I have seen Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and I always notice the blankets. They look so cozy. But spending over $100 felt, quite frankly, kind of insane. Lola Blankets was kind enough to send me one blanket to test out, and I was immediately on board. They are the perfect weight and size, and they are soooo soft. Like I used to think the Barefoot Dreams blanket was top tier, but I have since been converted to Lola. Since I got the sample to test, I have purchased two more as gifts, and everyone I have given one to has said the same thing: 'Why is this the coziest blanket ever?' Cons: It's really warm, so not a great summer blanket. And while they are washable, I don't think they retain 100% of their feel after washing. That said, none of these were dealbreakers for me, since I now think everyone in my life needs a Lola blanket on their birthday. And a bonus? My dog loves it, too. ❤️" —Lara Parker Get it from Lola Blanket for $125+ (available in four sizes and various colors). "I have excoriation disorder — aka my brain tells my fingers to pick at my arm skin for hours whenever I even feel *slightly* stressed. And while I'm obviously not ashamed of it (I am telling all of my internet besties, after all)...the bright pink scars don't make me feel *that* great. I've had this disorder for about 12 years, so I've obviously tried a lot of stuff to fade the marks (including some stuff from the literal dermatologist). I started using this three weeks ago, applying it after every shower, and OM*F*G. Y'all, I could see major fading after just one use. And other people in my life pointed out how much lighter the scars were, too. Which, like, OK...don't comment on other people's bodies? But at least I have external validation that Bio-Oil is that good." —Karly Jacklin Get it from Amazon for $11.12+ (available in three sizes). "I’ve been a fan of Owl’s Brew for a while now, but this female-founded, ready-to-drink-cocktail company just came out with what is probably my favorite product yet. It’s called Spiked Pop, and it’s a boozy soda that I’m so into. It’s made with simple ingredients (nothing artificial, just real juice and brewed botanicals), so think Poppi or Olipop, but with a little buzz. It’s also low ABV (4.8%), so it’s perfect for casual sipping. It comes in seven different flavors, but my absolute favorites so far are the cream soda and the black cherry. It really tastes so fresh and delicious, and it’s going to be a staple of mine, especially as the weather warms up." —Hannah Loewentheil Get a 12-can variety pack from Owl's Brew for $29.99.
