Police are investigating after a man was reported to have fallen "a number of floors" inside a building in Birmingham city centre, suffering serious injuries. West Midlands Police said officers were at the scene on Sunday evening "with emergency service colleagues as we seek to establish the full circumstances". The man has been taken to hospital. Officers cordoned off the Henman & Cooper building on Colmore Row. The venue posted on Facebook that, due to "unforeseen circumstances", it would be closed for the evening, apologising to guests. Henman & Cooper had advertised an event starting at 16:00 BST on Sunday, featuring "the best DJs in the city bringing nonstop House, Garage & Disco energy all day into the night". The BBC has approached the venue for further comment. Follow BBC Birmingham on BBC Sounds, Facebook, X and Instagram. Police wish to identify a man featured in a CCTV image shared by officers. Residents across the West Midlands will be asked how much trust they have in the police force. Thirteen bikes and scooters have been seized, and are to be crushed. West Midlands Police describes the injuries as serious. Seizure numbers hit a 17-year high as an estimated 300,000 uninsured vehicles are driven each day.
