Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Wednesday claimed President Donald Trump gave a heartless response when she told him about death threats she had received — including threats against her son — after he branded her a “traitor” over her push to release the Epstein files. Greene, once a staunch Trump ally turned fierce critic, told Piers Morgan on his “Uncensored” show that Trump showed “no compassion” when she told him about the menacing messages. Watch the interview on YouTube. “The only time I reached out to him was via text message after I had resigned and he had been attacking me and I was receiving, just, I can’t even count how many death threats,” said Greene, who left Congress in January. The mother of three claimed the threats “escalated on one of my children” and said she forwarded them to FBI Director Kash Patel, Vice President JD Vance and other top White House officials. “I even texted the president, and I was so upset over death threats on my children because of him,” she claimed, before adding, “I reached out to the president to let him know this is what’s happening because what you’re saying about me, and he was very unkind about these death threats. And so that was our last exchange was on text message.” Morgan asked what Trump said. “He basically blamed me,” Greene replied. “He had no compassion for death threats on my children. He blamed me basically that if my son were to get killed, it would be my fault.” Morgan asked, “Really?” The former lawmaker confirmed, saying, “Yes.” To which Morgan responded, “Wow.” Greene claimed she told Trump that “no one’s children should ever be the victim of death threats or have any kind of political violence brought on them because of our politics, because of our disagreements,” but he “had no compassion whatsoever.” Trump’s response was “like a nail in the coffin” and “tells me exactly who Donald Trump is,” she said. “Some of my biggest political enemies would never say that to me,” Greene claimed. “Democrats that I may have had disagreements with in Congress would have never said that to me. No one’s ever said those type of words to me.” She added, “I don’t know what kind of person basically has no compassion or care to someone’s child being threatened to be killed. It’s just, it’s unimaginable really.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
