A man from North Carolina is now in the spotlight after uploading videos on social media, which he claims show a neighbor being abused.

According to the video, the elderly man was outside in chilly weather, wearing an orange shirt and a heavily soiled adult diaper, with a blank expression.

Jonathan Maurice Pigford found the man on the street and helped him return home. However, Pigford met the man’s alleged caregiver, a woman, who told him to return the man to the street and walk him home to teach him “a lesson.”

The problem escalated within seconds.

“You’re just using him for your check,” Pigford said to the woman, adding that he intends to notify the authorities.

In another video, after their dispute, Pigford explained that at the end of the day, all he cares about is the elder man’s health.

“At the end of the day, I just want him to be safe and have his last days be glorious,” he stated.

Also, Pigford indicated that this was not an isolated case. In his words, another neighbor had seen the man being washed with a garden hose in the backyard.

Pigford added that Social Services contacted him after his video went viral. Hopefully, he expects that Social Services can relocate the man to a more comfortable place or even provide him with better healthcare.

“Hopefully, they can get him relocated or better care,” Pigford stated.

Social Services are currently investigating the case.
