Ramp, a US financial technology company that provides corporate charge cards, has expanded its partnership with Visa to apply agentic AI to corporate bill payments. The updated relationship includes a renewed multi-year issuing agreement, alongside deeper technology integration. That integration will involve Visa Intelligent Commerce and the Visa Trusted Agent Protocol. Under the agreement, the companies plan to introduce AI agents intended to securely automate corporate bill pay. In a press statement, Ramp said the aim is to reduce manual work, curb spending and deliver savings. Ramp added the changes will offer its 50,000-plus customers greater payment flexibility and more control over corporate spending globally. Visa will also use Ramp for targeted corporate service use cases as part of the deal. The expansion builds on the companies’ existing partnership, combining Visa’s global payments network with Ramp’s financial operations platform. The two companies are replacing manual workflows with automation and real-time controls to reduce complexity for large organisations managing access to, and use of, corporate funds. Ramp chief business officer Colin Kennedy said: "The best financial systems don't add controls after the fact—they build them into every transaction. That's what we're delivering with Visa." Visa president of commercial and money movement solutions Chris Newkirk said: "Enterprises are looking for payment solutions that reduce friction, not add to it. Ramp's approach to automation and real-time controls aligns with Visa's mission to make commerce simpler and more secure." "Ramp and Visa expand partnership to use agentic AI for corporate bill pay" was originally created and published by Electronic Payments International, a GlobalData owned brand.
