“Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon took a moment during the “No Kings” rally in New York City on Saturday to vent about how other countries were in disbelief at President Donald Trump’s destabilizing behavior.

“The rest of the world looks at us and is so horrified by what’s happening and can’t believe that we’ve elected this man and that we’re going along with it,” she told CNN correspondent Donie O’Sullivan in a clip shared by Mediaite. “We have to show out, as we’re doing today, in record numbers, to say this is not okay with us.”

Nixon, who starred as Miranda Hobbes on the hit HBO show and its sequel series “And Just Like That…,” said it was crucial for people to rally against Trump’s war in Iran.

“I think it’s really important for us to show up. I think it’s important for us to show up in New York. I think it’s important for us to show up across the country in big cities and small towns. And I think it’s important for people to show up across the world,” she said.

In 2018, Nixon ran against incumbent Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary for governor of New York but lost by a large margin. She has repeatedly spoken out against Trump’s policies, particularly their effects on the LGBTQ+ community.

“Donald Trump is trying to divide our community the way he divided and conquered our country – by slicing it up and setting it against itself,” she said at the Human Rights Campaign’s 2018 New York gala. “This is a time to stick our necks out, to remember where we came from. This is a time to be visible. This is a time to fight. If we want change, we have to do what we have always done. We have to go out ourselves and seize it.”

Nixon wasn’t the only celebrity who took aim at Trump during the “No Kings” rallies over the weekend. Two-time Oscar winner and vocal Trump critic Robert De Niro also called out the president in an impassioned speech in New York.

“We’ve had enough!” De Niro said. “No King Trump, no unnecessary wars that rob our resources, sacrifice our brave servicemen and women and slaughter innocents. No corrupt leader enriching himself and the Epstein class buddies,” No taking away healthcare from our most vulnerable neighbors, no unaffordable groceries, no unaffordable energy, no unaffordable housing and no inflation at its highest level since COVID. No government masked thugs shooting down our neighbors in the streets.”

“Trump has to be stopped,” he added. “And that’s what No Kings is all about. Because he can’t do all the fucked up things that he’s been doing without the collusion of Congress and the goons in his administration.”
