I recently rented this dress from Nuuly and am strongly considering buying it in a color I really love. It's wonderfully stretchy and comfortable. I went with my true size, though I could've sized down since the material offers decent stretch. (I have a small chest, so YMMV.) Ultimately, I think I prefer having that extra bit of movement and freedom, but if you really want the dress to cinch your waist, then you could opt for a size down. IMO, this dress is great for the office — it's a thicker material that is pretty wrinkle-resistant, so it doesn't look like a crinkled-up napkin when I stand up after a few hours typing away at my desk. It's also totally something I'd wear outside of the office casually with sneakers or for a dressier occasion with sandals or heels, so yes, it's expensive, but you can really get your money's worth.
