Xeinadin, an accountancy services and business advice provider, has made two senior appointments at its base in Sittingbourne, Kent. According to the company, the move underlines its continued investment in the South East as it looks to support businesses in North Kent. The company has brought in Simon Laurie as director. He will work with small and medium-sized enterprises to bolster their financial foundations. Additionally, Laurie will work to support the practice’s regional growth plans. The second hire, George Cannon, joins as tax associate director. His experience is primarily in tax compliance, alongside advisory work in employment taxes. He has also worked on personal tax planning including capital gains tax and inheritance tax issues. Cannon’s responsibilities are expected to transition increasingly towards proactive tax planning, with a particular focus on succession and future planning for business owners. Xeinadin North Kent managing partner Symon Barkway said: “These appointments reflect the confidence we have in the Sittingbourne office and in the wider north Kent market. “There is real ambition among businesses here, and we are seeing increasing demand for advice that goes beyond compliance. Simon and George both understand what owner-managed businesses need at different stages of growth. “As we continue to grow locally, being part of one fully integrated practice across the UK and Ireland means our clients benefit from local advisers backed by national expertise. That combination gives businesses in Sittingbourne the depth of support they need without losing the personal connection.” Xeinadin also reported a series of senior promotions within its North West regional network. Five individuals have moved into new leadership roles across offices in Manchester, Chester, Birkenhead, Bolton and Liverpool. Three of the promotions are to partner level. These include James Bruce in Manchester, Stephanie Baker in Chester and Richard Landsberg in Birkenhead. Two further senior promotions were made at director level: Nina Lasota-Long in Bolton and Paul Mulhearn in Liverpool.
