“Love Is Blind is really just an experiment in finding the absolute worst men imaginable in every city,” one person tweeted on Feb. 20. “#LoveIsBlind is a humiliation ritual for women !!!!” another user wrote.

Note: There are a ton of outrageous moments across all versions of LIB, which is so depressing, but for the sake of ease, this list will just feature moments that took place on the US version.

“I later heard Shake compared me to an animal — a flying squirrel — because of my stretch marks and saggy skin. I heard that he also said my body needed to be studied by science,” she claimed.

“Even though I knew our relationship wasn’t gonna end in marriage, I didn’t want what we had to end, either. I loved every second of it. And I’m so so sorry that I hurt you with my words. As the last thing I wanted from all this. I’m sorry,” he added.

And in response to the claims Deepti made in her book, Shake said in a statement to People, “I think it says a lot that I've been in a happy, healthy relationship for some time now, focused on the future (i.e. marriage and kids). Meanwhile, Deepti (single), exaggerates and embellishes the past — desperate to extend her 15 minutes of fame.”

“This is not an apology tour. It's really about me owning my actions and taking responsibilities, and also just taking the things I've learned from this experience, and I'll continue to learn and grow as a person,” he said. “I do want to deeply express my sincere apology to Raven for the hurt and embarrassment that I caused her. I’m not proud of how I conducted myself. I conducted myself in a way that's making me take a step back and reflect.”

He also told Taylor that she had “presented fake stuff” by wearing “a lot of makeup” when they first met.

Elsewhere in the alleged messages, Trevor — who seemingly promised to marry his girlfriend — appeared to end the relationship in early February 2024, which was just before the season started airing.

Stephen said, “I can't do anything to change this. I will live with this. I truly am sorry for hurting you, for wasting your time, for coming on the show and doing this to you. I shouldn't have come on the show.”

He also said that he lied about knowing what his children looked like to protect their privacy.

Ashley and Tyler ended up getting married, though they announced their split at the start of last year.

“This was worst-case scenario for me. Worst-case scenario is the person you fall in love with isn’t attracted to you, and all of a sudden, it becomes not about the connection, but the attraction. And while I think that’s very important, this is Love Is Blind. We did it for the emotional experience. It was definitely a hard watch,” she said.

“The things that he said kind of carelessly really did impact me, you know?” she said. “It’s really important to be aware that words carry weight.”

Chris recently addressed the backlash over his comments, insisting that he didn’t intend to “body-shame” Jess. “I made some mistakes. I'll own those mistakes,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “And I met an amazing person through this journey, so it's hard for me to say I would regret the experience.”
