“The Daily Show” host Michael Kosta on Wednesday blasted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s chest-thumping rhetoric on Iran.

Hegseth has said Iran’s regime is “toast and they know it,” that “this was never meant to be a fair fight and it is not a fair fight,” and that “we are punching them while they’re down, which is exactly how it should be.”

“What the fuck, dude?” asked Kosta.

He then wondered why the former Fox News personality sounded like a “cheesy movie villain,” before airing footage of the defense secretary’s comments alongside clips of film villains delivering similarly over-the-top lines.
