"I have used it every single morning and sometimes in the evening for eight years, and it still works like the day I purchased it." Yeah, I'm sold.

I'm going to hold your hand when I say this, but it's 2026, and there's no reason you should still be heating water on the stove and waiting 10 minutes for a single bubble to form. If you've never experienced the wonders of an electric kettle, they're not only helpful with cutting down the time between you and your morning brew or evening tea, but they're also *super* useful for speeding up cooking, too (think: noodles, oatmeal, soup)! Whether you're just starting your kettle journey or are in need of an upgrade, we've gathered the best options to help you find the one that's right for you — from small and sleek like the Bodum bistro kettle, extra-large like the Stariver, and the most jaw-dropping stunner of a collab between Great Jones and Fellow (hint: it's so gorgeous, and so blue). Just be prepared... because once you introduce an electric kettle into your home, you won't be able to imagine life without it.

A charming Bistro Tile x Haden electric kettle that'll see your old crusty dusty kettle (hey, it's trying its best) and be like "excusez-moi." 💅✨ It comes with a standard on/off design and safety features, but the vintage-style thermostat gauge and British silhouette will make every morning feel like you're living your "escape the city and live in a gorgeous cottage" fantasy. It even has 24k gold decals — so fancy!

Btw, Anthropologie has an entire Bistro Tile collection!

Beautiful electric kettle by Drew Barrymore, which I would honestly think is kind of a silly name for a brand if it weren't so dang... beautiful. It's kept sleek with zero buttons or dials — instead, it has a touch-activated display right on the side (which doesn't get hot thanks to the double-walled stainless steel) where you can pick from four pre-set heat options or choose your own. It also has safety features and a 30-minute keep-warm setting, but more importantly, comes in lots of super pretty colors you don't normally see in kettles at this price point! Thanks, Ms. Barrymore!

Promising review: "I LOVE the size — not too big or small for avid tea drinkers like myself and hubby. It keeps the water warm between cups and turns itself off after about 20 minutes. Also has different temps for different types of teas which is an added bonus. I bought this in sage green, and it looks BEAUTIFUL on my counter :)" —Carla

Get it from Walmart for $47.88 (available in eight colors).

An Amazon Basics electric kettle if you don't need the bells and whistles of temp control or fancy spouts, just a reliable way to get your water bubbling, stat. It doesn't skimp out on safety features, though! It has automatic shut-off, boil-dry protection, *and* a cool-touch handle. It'll also have your water boiling in about three to five minutes, so if you're still on the fence about whether an electric kettle will truly change your life (it will), that speed alone will up your kitchen game.

Capacity: 1 liter (4 cups), 1.7 liters (7 cups)

Promising review: "This kettle is — dare I say it — life changing! For my family of six, I purchased the large glass carafe model. We have had this kettle for a year now and it’s still going strong even with daily use. Several times each day, typically. I love the auto shutoff; the ‘click’ that sounds is audible enough to alert you that the kettle has finished boiling. I appreciate the blue light that illuminates the kettle so the kids know it’s hot/heating. The release button for the lid is easy to push, great for my arthritis. The handle is comfortable and balanced, easy for both myself and my four kids ages 15, 14, 11, and 10 to lift off the base and pour. Water tastes and smells clean, even though we use tap water, which in our area is a bit hard. We rinse the scale out of the kettle regularly and occasionally give it a gentle scrub with a vinegar and water solution to get rid of any stubborn scale. Cleans up easily.

The kettle boils really fast; I would estimate within three to five minutes. It’s great to have hot water nearly ‘on demand’ for cooking. I use it to quickly heat water for pasta, vegetables, and steaming. [My kiddos] even have ‘hacked’ an easy way to make those cheap ramen soup packets. We love this kettle and can’t imagine living without one now. I don’t know what we were doing before. The time savings and convenience are well worth the affordable price. Get this kettle! You’ll be happy you did." —Natalie Marx

Get it from Amazon for $23.60+ (available in two sizes and in a stainless steel or glass design).

The style and quality is perfect, well made, looks amazing next to my other MC pieces. Easy to use, set your desired temperature once boiled you can set to keep warm mode. And I won't burn it up on the stove because it is a very smart kettle and allows me to set it to turn off after 15 minutes. I love the lines and the color and the wooden handle. We gave it as a gift to someone who also appreciates it. Fantastic find!" —Great Jones Customer

You'll be creating perfect, cafe-worthy pour-overs in no time!

Promising review: "Works fast, very intuitive! Recently bought this for my wife as we like to make tea together. It’s very sturdy, lightweight, and ergonomic for pouring hot water thanks to its gooseneck spout. The inside doesn’t have a heating element like other kettles, so it makes it easier to clean the inside. We changed the degrees to Celsius for our preference. I think it’s wonderful, it can stay hot for up to one hour in order to maintain the desired temperature of the water. I thinks it’s fantastic and good value for your money. The only downside is that the base is very, very lightweight, so it moves very easily. The rubber feet pads aren’t big enough to maintain it's sturdy. Easy fix with some double-sided foam pads i had laying around. 10/10" —Shamir

Get it from Amazon for $62.99+ (available in eight colors).

It heats water quickly, so you don’t have to wait long for hot water. It’s also easy to use, making daily tasks like brewing tea or coffee simple and convenient. I wanted something to boil my water quickly, so I came to trusty ol' Amazon. This kettle boils my water in under three minutes. I love the blue lights as it’s heating up, and I love that it auto shuts off cuz I can be a bit spacey. The base has cord storage if you don’t need the entirety of the cord, which is lovely, I hate seeing wires every which way to Sunday. It’s sleek and it’s been a fantastic addition to my kitchen!" —Linda

Promising review: "I'm very happy with this product. It is nice looking, easy to clean, and can boil up to six cups of water per pot. I chose the black with the coppery accents to go with the rest of my kitchen appliances, and to me, it looks very elegant. (Lol, I'm so fancy. 🤭) My favorite feature of this product is the temperature selection for heating up your water. Promising review: "We are in a tiny home, so space is at a premium. I've been microwaving water for my sweetie's tea, but our British friends called me out on that, explaining it just does not work. We had an electric teapot before, but the footprint was too big for the current digs. I thought the design of this unit would make it easy to use and store, and I was right. It can heat water for two full mugs of tea, even though I only heat enough for one. It's boiling full-on in three to four minutes, and it shuts itself off at that point. If you leave the switch on, it will turn on and off to maintain the temperature. I just love that I can fold this up and stash it on top of the tiny coffee pot. We use both every day. Overall, this was a great find and I really hope that it lasts." —Randy King

Promising review: "I really like this electric kettle. I got the white one. I like that you can easily see the fill level marks and the water boiling and I love that it lights up when it’s working. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the kettle keeps the water hot for a good while after it’s unplugged. It takes under 10 minutes for a full kettle to come to a boil, which I don’t think is too bad. It looks nice on my counter and doesn’t take up a lot of space. All in all, I think this was a good buy." —NJNC

Get it from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in four colors).

The extra-large Stariver electric kettle is a workhorse capable of heating up enough water that you'll be able to prep the fam's oatmeal and *still* have some leftover for your cup of coffee (which you deserve ASAP). Reviewers say it takes about 8–12 minutes for the full amount to boil (so, less if you're just making a few cups for tea at night!), which gives you enough time to wrangle everyone up. BRB, crossing "arguments over who eats first" off your list of things to worry about each morning.

Promising review: "I waited a month before reviewing this kettle so I can have experience with its performance. In a household of four adults who drink tea, instant coffee, and other things, between us, we boil water at least eight times a day, sometimes more. This kettle has had a good workout and it's done beautifully. I really like that there is no internal heating element inside the interior to clean around. It heats efficiently without too much noise and gets the water very hot quickly. I also like the setup of having a sturdy switch on the top of the handle and really like the push latch on the lid. It feels more secure than lids that rely on tension to keep it shut when pouring. Having tried three others with no satisfaction before this one, I can say that we are at last very very happy with this kettle." —Judith H.
