Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) had a busy weekend antagonizing Muslim Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) to spark a tiff on X.

Leaning into a Fox News graphic confirming the killing of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei during a U.S.-Israeli attack, Mace messaged the progressive lawmakers.

“My heart goes out to Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib tonight. Sending them thoughts and prayers,” Mace wrote on Saturday.

Omar retaliated Sunday with a reference to a report citing former employees who said Mace used alcohol and weed excessively (which she denied).

“I hope you aren’t drunk and took your staff’s advice,” Omar said. “Rashida and I don’t know this man and feel confident he didn’t care about us,” she wrote about Khamenei.

I hope you aren’t drunk and took your staff’s advice, Rashida and I don’t know this man and feel confident he didn’t care about us. It should be noted that neither of the progressive Congress members is from Iran. The Somalia-born Omar became a U.S. citizen in 2000, and Tlaib was born in the United States to Palestinian parents.

“Please restrain from drinking too much as you have been warned from your staff and stay off social media when you are drunk. I pray in his holy month you find peace and respect for your self,” Omar continued amid Ramadan.

“So tell me, what was it like being married to your brother?” Mace, who’s running for governor in her state, responded to Omar, spewing an oft-used right-wing canard.

The exchange reignited a social media skirmish that seemed to begin before the military strikes. On Thursday, Omar called it “sickening” that the U.S. would attack Iran during Ramadan.

To which Mace replied, “I don’t give a shit if it’s Ramadan. Why do you continue to simp for terrorists who want Americans and their allies dead.”

Omar made no bones about her objection to the war.

“President Trump is unilaterally dragging this nation into an illegal and unjustified war with Iran without congressional authorization, without a clear objective, and without any imminent threat to the United States,” she wrote over the weekend. “This is a reckless abuse of power that puts both innocent civilians and American lives on the line for a conflict the American people do not want.”

Last week Omar and Tlaib baited President Donald Trump during his State of the Union address over his crackdown in Minneapolis that resulted in two Americans being killed by federal agents.
